Abstract :
In this paper, a novel cascade inverter system for SRM driving in which the higher voltage than the rated voltage of the switching device can be applied is proposed. Although a large variety of circuits for SRM have been proposed, asymmetric cascade inverter for SRM has not been reported. In this paper, the reason why the asymmetric cascade inverter for SRM has not been reported and a novel asymmetric cascade inverter is presented. This paper presents a detail of some circuits by simulation and experiment.
