Abstract :
This paper aims at comparing the performances of induction and synchronous reluctance machines considering the driving cycle. The analytical models of the two machines are proposed and validated. The geometries and the electrical controls of these machines are used to define the total energy losses during the driving cycle. The methodology of the global optimization is also presented in this paper.
