  • Abstract
It is largely known that iron losses are also influenced by the different manufacturing steps of electrical steel sheets. While many studies have investigated this phenomena, more research is needed to understand the degrading processes and to correctly estimate the resulting degrading effect on the magnetic characteristics. In this paper, the influence of three different cutting techniques on the hysteresis curves of three different materials is investigated. Furthermore, the additional effects of sample size and cutting direction are discussed.
