Abstract
This paper describes the ability of the extension of the Zero Voltage Switching range of the series resonant converter, through the analysis of dependency on the soft switching technique. The proposed method was explained and simulated to extend the ZVS region by using MATLAB-SIMULINK software. The results were then compared with those of typical series resonant converter using the same parameters, which provided the main goal of this work. The summary of this study can be considered as a solution of electromagnetic interference caused by the use of high frequencies, which will cause negative effect on the converter efficiency.
