Abstract
Using a simple object oriented design and interface, a framework for an image analysis system has been implemented using the Java language. The goal is to design an image analysis framework which has the capability of simple extensibility. This is achieved through the object oriented capability of Java. Besides being a OO language, it allows for easy extensions onto Web-ware applications and integration to commercial data base back ends. The design and first implementation of this framework is presented along with a simple manual registration procedure to demonstrate its capability
