Abstract
This study demonstrates the feasibility of reconstruction of smooth distributions within unsmooth circumferences from limited views using the filtered-backprojection algorithm with angular interpolation, which leads to non-iterative reconstruction of smooth distributions within skulls in diagnostic medicine. Two phantoms with a circular and an elliptic circumferences are numerically tested. This speedy approach has great advantages in applications when swift reaction is necessary or when result of reconstruction is indispensably navigational
