Abstract
In most frequency response type programs, it is common to assume that all harmonic sources have the same phase angle. In this paper, this assumption is investigated for distorting loads with diode rectifier front ends. Based on these investigations, equivalent models of distorting loads are proposed firstly on one distribution feeder and secondly for distribution feeders in subsystems of a large network. For the purpose of these investigations, a power electronic simulator with time domain solution has been used.
