Abstract :
This paper presents a new approach to find out the bifurcation of voltage stability (BVS) based on the continuation power flow (CPF). The presented approach can get the BVS quickly and accurately by the improved locally parameterized CPF and quadric interpolation. Test results in several systems show that the approach has advantage in terms of rapidity and accuracy.
