  • Abstract
    This paper describes about the deployment details of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) for radiation monitoring system at Kalpakkam nuclear complex. Initially, Area Gamma Mentors were present in the nuclear complex as stand alone units, which would provide visual indication of radiation dose level and an alarm when the limits were crossed. However, in order to have a record of the events happened and to get the centralized view, it is proposed to have a continuous remote monitoring system using WSN. This paper is an outcome of the successful deployment of WSN for radiation monitoring at Kalpakkam nuclear complex.
