Abstract
In the recent years, Visible light communication (VLC) has become a novel kind of optical wireless communication utilizing light emitting diodes for the communication. VLC acts as an alternative to resolve the shortage of radio frequencies and to address the limitations of Wi-Fi. Lately, a lot of research work is carried out to achieve communication using Light emitting diodes (LED)s. This paper explores a new approach for Visible light communication where the LEDs light is the medium for communicating and a digital camera is a receiver. We propose the color coding modulation technique where the data is visualized as distinct Red, Green, Blue (RGB) 8-bit channel value. Thus, an attempt is done to transmit data from an LED display to another device which is camera enabled using light a medium.
