Properties of injected charge carriers at intermittent and permanent polystyrene metal interfaces

For PS our experiments show that investigating the properties of injected excess electrons at intermittent and permanent PS/metal interfaces both electrostatic charging as well as field effect measurements can be discussed under common points of view if one starts from a bi-modular charge carrier distribution concerning the energetic and spatial situation. A possible contribution of dipole orientation or induced dipoles on the experimental results of both technics can be neglected in the case of polystyrene.
