Abstract :
It can be seen from these results that the transient current in P.A.I. films are very close to those observed for Kapton. A peak in the dielectric losses spectra is also found in the same region of temperature and frequency. It was expected that the amine group could introduce some additional losses, but it is not the case in the range of temperature and frequency used in our measurements. It can be pointed out that the maximum of the loss peak is a factor of 5 to 10 lower than that reported for Kapton (3) (4). The reason could be that no water molecules have to be eliminated during the preparation of the polymer.
