Abstract
The electromagnetic (EM) environmental measurements already performed in some Brazilian cities, in the most industrial and populated areas, are presented and analysed. This investigation was motivated by the population, who campaigning hard with the legal authorities in order to define guidelines for limiting human exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields. The other reason is the requirement of the automotive industries, that want to ensure on-board electronics functionality under EM radiation sources. The data presented intend to socially contribute to the definition of the regulations to be defined for Brazil and Mercosur
