On parameter evaluation of voltage-endurance-lines for polymeric insulation films under the influence of partial discharges

Considering thermally activated voltage-aging of polymeric insulation materials under the influence of partial discharges for U > Updi Dakin and Studniarz have presented an interesting approach. Their equation gives an improved calculation of life at “low” voltages, especially if applied on increasing-stress-experiments thus allowing a better estimation of suitable test-voltages for the most interesting time-range of a required voltage-endurance-line.
