  • Abstract
    After AC-voltage tests of plastics usually only the breakdown fieldstrength is stated. Depending on moisture content and temperature the breakdown mechanism of nylons changes from electrical breakdown to breakdown due to thermal instability during investigations according to the relevant regulations. By additional measurement of the current through the specimens further information can be gathered.
