Abstract :
This study on different polyacetoxymethylstyrenes, according to the position of the polar groups has allowed to show the influence of the dipole position on the dielectric characteristic. The para position improves the possibility of orientation of the dipole without a too big hindrance which prevents the arrangement of the polymer chain. The possibility of interaction between them permit low dielectric losses and the best behaviour in temperature. The ortho-para position with 60 % of ortho position improves the best ε′ value but the dielectric losses increase to 5.10−2 from T = 65°C.
