Abstract :
A mesh optimization scheme has been implemented in this work to enhance the performance of the loop-flower basis functions applied in solving scattering and radiation problems. Numerical analysis shows the accuracy of the results obtained by using the loop-flower basis functions worsen when the mesh quality is not uniformed. The mesh modification method is used to regularize the mesh topological structure through changing the number of the triangles connected to the node to about six. Several numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
