  • Abstract
    This paper introduces a novel technique for low radar cross section (RCS) antenna array optimization. The space mapping (SM) algorithm is used as the optimization tool, which includes a coarse model, designed using the pattern multiplication formulation; and a fine model which is verified using full wave analysis method of moments (MoM). The mapping relationship between coarse model and fine model is iteratively updated until the response of fine model meets the specified design requirements. By using SM method, a reduced number of full-wave evaluations are needed in the optimization process, leading to a reduced optimization time.
