  • Abstract
    A new approximate synthesis method for the substrate integrated coaxial line (SICL) is proposed using the equivalent capacity. Firstly, the SICL is considered as the rectangular coaxial line with the same characteristic impedance, which has a simpler structure. Then, the conventional synthesis method for the SICL which is based on the formula of substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is theoretically explained and compared with the proposed one. Finally, simulation results validate the proposed method.
