Abstract :
A compact multiport antenna based on the space-time synchronous focusing characteristic of time-reversal (TR) electromagnetic wave is proposed. The presented multiport antenna with six available ports is composed of parallelly-arranged monopoles. The distance between adjacent ports is about λ/40 and the dimension of the multiport antenna is only about λ/4×λ/4×λ/120, where λ is the operating wavelength at 2.5 GHz in the free space. Each port has a good super-resolution focusing of TR electromagnetic wave in the operating bands. The proposed multiport antenna can be used in the mobile terminals of the TR high-capacity communication systems.
