Abstract :
In this paper, a novel band-notched ultrawideband (UWB) multiple-input-multiple-output(MIMO) antenna with high notch-band-edge selectivity is proposed and demonstrated. The proposed antenna consists of two radiation patch, and four slot-type split ring resonators (SRR) are embedded on radiation patch and ground. In this way, a high notch-band-edge selectivity MIMO antenna is obtained. As compared to the fundamental MIMO antenna, the proposed antenna provides good notch-band suppression from 5.2GHz to 5.9GHz, in which the normalized total radiated powers in the notch band are low than -12dB. Results show that the MIMO antenna has an impedance bandwidth of large than 3.1-10.6GHz, low mutual coupling of less than -20dB, making it a good candidate for portable UWB applications.
