Abstract :
High frequency over the horizon radars (HF OTHR) shows great potential for over the horizon surveillance in Exclusive Economic Zones. When analyzing the possibilities of vessel detection it is necessary to know radar cross section. In this paper, the modeling of the vessel is accomplished by using the software for electromagnetic modeling WIPL-D. Usage of radar cross section diagram in HF OTHR simulator enables simulation of detection results that match real life situation in which vessel is tracked.
