Abstract :
A unique means of generating low-to-medium radio-frequency voltages with triangular parallel plates is presented. The method is novel due the wide-band (1 MHz to 1000 MHz) nature of the parallel-plate device. A current application is the immunity evaluation of electronic units with dimensions less than 1 m3. Unit dimensions and metal mass are the limitations of the method. Performance comparisons with a square and a fractal approximation demonstrate the viability of this technique
