Abstract :
The current study investigates the effect of distracted-driving based on EEG coherence. Forty-two non-professional drivers were recruited to perform a distracted driving task while 128-EEG channels of EEG were simultaneously recorded. EEG coherence computed from 12 EEG electrode pairs based on 10-20 EEG international system, resulting in 66 connections for theta, alpha and beta frequency bands. Results show that the coherence between frontal lobe electrode pairs and brain posterior parts (temporal, parietal and occipital) is significantly increased during distracted driving session.
