  • Abstract
    In this paper the recent results and progresses of millimeter wave (mmWave) cellular mobile communication for the Giga Korea 5G (GK-5G) project are introduced. To understand the wireless channel characteristics in a given mobile communication scenario the ray-tracing simulation results are presented. The outline of GK-5G specifications on the physical layer downlink/uplink is described, and finally the first stage outputs of the GK-5G system developments and design update plan are presented.
