Categories of traditional simulation techniques and their differences have been explained in this paper. A survey is presented. Disadvantages of presenting complex circuit components using structural modeling techniques where each simple circuit component is represented by rows and columns in the system matrix have been pointed out. A unified simulation technique is outlined
