Abstract :
This paper presents a development of high-efficiency rectification circuit for RF energy harvesting. The rectifier is based on HSMS2862 diode to convert RF power to DC power at 515MHz. The circuit is a modality of Dickson Circuit, which consists of impedance matching, rectification, boost conversion and load components. It is found that stage numbers, matching network and load can influence the efficiency of the rectifier. The optimized rectifier is design with a six-stage circuit based on HSMS2862 diode and 22kΩ-load. Its efficiency is up to 66.1% To test the performance of the rectification circuit, a RF energy harvesting system has been built. By comparing two strategies, it is indicated that DC combining has higher efficiency than RF combining.
