Abstract
In this paper, an analytical model for the series-parallel rectifier RF-dc conversion efficiency is presented. This model analyzes the conversion efficiency based on the different structure. After studying each kind of losses in the series-parallel rectifier due to the diode series resistor, junction capacitor, power level and load resistor, a new and effective approach, using a proper inductance to compensate the circuit, is proposed. A series-parallel rectifier with an inductance loaded, suitable for wireless power transfer applications is analyzed and designed. The circuit is simple and the RF-DC conversion can be as high as 86.7% at 2.45GHz when the input power is 9 dBm.
