Abstract
This paper studies three types of operational-amplifier-based negative impedance converters (NICs) with symmetrically allocated impedances theoretically. Due to differential behavior of operational amplifiers, the influence of these symmetric impedances can be neglected theoretically, and asymmetrically located components and architectures generate the NIC performance. Furthermore, this idea can be applied in circuit designs in order to avoid undesired pattern inductance.
