Abstract :
In this communication, a compact ultra-wideband (UWB) band-pass filter with narrowband anti-interference characteristics is proposed and its performance is also investigated. The anti-interference function is realized by introducing three notches which can reduce or filter out unwanted potential narrowband interference signals over the UWB band. In this design, wing-like stubs (WSs), parallel-assigned stubs (PASs) and defected microstrip structure (DMS) are employed to provide the desired notch bands at 5.73 GHz, 8.0 GHz and 9.5 GHz, respectively. The dimensions of the proposed UWB band-pass filter are optimized to 10×10×0.635 mm. The numerical results are given to verify that the proposed UWB band-pass filter with small size can provide three controllable anti-interference bands, making it promising for band-notched UWB communication applications.
