Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel dual-band dual linear-polarization reflectarray design. The reflectarray consists of two different types of elements: cross-dipole element for Ka band, and modified phoenix square loop for W band operation. An advantage of the antenna is that both types of elements are aligned and printed on a single layer of substrate. And a group strategy for unit choice is presented to eliminate the coupling effect and improve the local periodic condition, as well. The single-layer design is easy to fabricate with lower cost than the traditional multilayer designs, and it has good performance at both bands.
