Abstract :
This paper presents a new broadband metal-only reflectarray antenna. The designed reflectarray antenna operating at 12.5 GHz doesn´t contain any dielectric substrate by using a modified slot structure. The slot-type element is optimized to provide a linear phase curve and a phase-shift range in excess of 360 degrees is achieved. With an offset feed configuration, a 9×9 elements reflectarray antenna is designed and simulated. The simulation results show a maximum gain of 19.9 dB at 13.1 GHz with 13.6%, 1-dB gain bandwidth.
