Abstract
The authors describe how strategic technology control as management system covers the processes of technology control and navigation, which run in parallel to strategic planning and implementation. In addition, technology control has to coordinate and check the use of the planning methods and tools. After the development of business and technology plans, consistency control has to review the results for contradictions and redundancies. The paper points out the two main tasks of strategic technology control. On the one hand it reduces the selection risk during strategic technology, planning, on the other hand it pro-actively navigates the development of future technology potentials described in technology plans
