Abstract :
The paper considers the dynamic mathematical model of correlated electrical systems (automated electric drives and systems controlling performance data) of the continuous train of the wide-strip hot-rolling mill. The model has a correlated structure containing the models of systems for roll speed, automated strip gauge, tension and loop and electric drive speed mode control. Interrelation of the above facilities has a form of a dynamic model of strip in the inter-stand gap, models of generating torque, pressure and lag at rolling. Adequacy of the model to the issue under consideration was checked by comparing transient process modeling results with experimental ones. The most complex dynamic mode of strip gripping by rolls of three last stand of the continuous train was under investigation. It was established that percent parameter deviations ranged within ±15%; that is tolerable at modeling complex facilities. The developed mathematical model is applied for study of the control systems and algorithms elaborated for the 2,000 and 2,500 mm mills of OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works.
