  • Abstract
Horn antennas are designed to perform as feeders for radio astronomy as a result of its highly directional pattern and as standard gain antenna due to its high gain quality. Furthermore pyramidal horns are having several more advantages like manufacturing simplicity, moderate bandwidth, low fabrication cost and that leads more applications like electromagnetic compatibility measurements and radars. This paper exhibits the compact design of pyramidal horn obtained by using standard modus operandi however design is mainly focused on gain of pyramidal horn and enhancement of it by introducing Metamaterial as Split Ring Resonator (SRR) inside the geometry. Design is practically obtained by software called High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS).
