Abstract :
We propose and demonstrate a novel mode analysis method which can obtain a full set of amplitude, phase, and polarization state of transmitted modes including degenerate modes in few mode fibers. The method is based on the calculation of all modal components from the intensity profiles through an angled polarizer.
