Abstract :
The feasibility of combining orbital angular momentum and polarization multiplexing in microholographic recording was investigated through a numerical simulation using vectorial coupled wave theory. The results imply that six different microholograms can be multiplexed by changing the topological charge and polarization of recording and readout beams in three (-1, 0, and +1) and two (right- and left-handed circularly polarized) states, respectively.
