Abstract :
We numerically analyze characteristics of all-optical retiming switches using the cascade of second harmonic generation and difference frequency mixing in quasi-phase-matched devices. An appropriate time offset between the data signal and the restored clock at the input port of the device can improve the switching efficiency and reduce the timing jitter of the switched output.
