  • Abstract
    The bearing fault has a significant percentage to the electric machines, why a study in this setting is needed. The modified winding function approach theory (MWFA) is often used to model this fault. The influence of load and slip were studied even checking the corresponding measures proposed by the literature formulas of the characteristic frequencies. Both types of bearing defects must be processed by an analysis of the stator current. This verification uses motor current signature analysis (MCSA) by signal processing algorithms (FFT). Our experimental results are in total agreement with previous researches.
