Abstract :
The increasing number of vehicles nowadays makes it hard to manage traffic flow on the streets, especially when it comes to intersection management. This paper proposes the use of dashboard traffic lights (DTL), an intelligent traffic light system based on client-server communication that will use V2I (Vehicle-to- Intersection) network scheme to send request messages from moving vehicles to the intersection station that will analyze the request message and send back the decision message based on the intersection status. The average waiting time and the number of vehicles stopping at the intersection is significantly reduced.
