  • Abstract
    This paper presents a high efficiency method for an LLC converter. The LLC converter is a very attractive solution for renewable energy systems, because of its high efficiency characteristic. However, in the case of using a planar transformer, the large capacitance between the primary and secondary windings may be a cause of a new dissipation. In this paper, the characteristics of the dissipation caused by the capacitance are shown. Then a new approach to improve the dissipation will be discussed.
