Abstract :
The boost type DC-DC converter is widely used for providing the stable power to the load in the renewable energy system. This paper presents the integral gain switchover digital control boost converter to improve regulation characteristics and the transient response in the light load condition. The proposed method switches the integral gain between the continuous conduction mode (CCM) and DCM by the detected load current. As a result, the proposed method can suppress the increase of output voltage in the DCM. Furthermore, the superior transient characteristics are obtained in the proposed method.
