Abstract
This paper discusses the impact of Power System Stabilizer (PSS) and Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) on transient stability of multi-machine power system connected to PV generation. This study show the simulation result of power system for different case: multimachine power system only, multi-machine power with PV generation, multi-machine power connected to PV generation with PSS and STATCOM and show how the PSS and STATCOM help to improve the rotor angle stability and damped frequency oscillations. MATLAB/SIMULINK is used to simulate the proposed system.
