Abstract
This research concerns the development of an effective rehabilitation training approach using a pronation and supination function recovery training device for hemiplegic forearms. This device works based on Repetitive Facilitative Exercise, which induce the stretch reflex of the human body through training to achieve intended movements of the patient by increasing the facilitating effect by triggering active voluntary movements. Different training speeds and patterns of speed variations will influence the effectiveness of the stretch reflex of training to recover the motor function of paralyzed forearms. In this paper, training methods with different training speeds and patterns of speed variation were proposed to identify an effective method. Finally, the performance of the method was demonstrated experimentally.
