Abstract
The paper covers an analysis of the data which come from the first module of a research project into the digitalization of cultural heritage in Poland. The authors of the research conducted qualitative and quantitative content analyses of three diverse kinds of empirical material: legislative documents (N=102), websites including repositories of digitalized objects of cultural heritage (N=455) and academic dissertations (N=200). The analysis reveals the gap between policies on digitalization and on-line strategies and practices. The research findings lead us to a basic categorization frame for the repositories and draw a preliminary conclusion on the access and the reception of digitalized resources.
