  • Abstract
This paper outlines the results of current research in reconstruction and popularisation of the Nerva Forum in Rome, dating from imperial Rome and the high medieval period, which aroused interest in terms of technological innovation applied to communication of cultural heritage through navigation in “real time” and use of “augmented reality.” Through Blender and its internal “game engine”, it was possible to innovatively experiment with real time navigation using the 3D model for reconstruction of the Forum in the two periods considered, with the possibility of quickly switching between models to verify analogies and differences between the historical periods reviewed, in addition to interacting and displaying some descriptive evidence of major objects in the Forum.
