Abstract
The device generating pulsed-periodic multigap sliding discharges in air was used to study the impact of plasma and UV radiation on bacterial test objects, which were prepopulated with bacteria Escherichia coli (Ec) and Staphylococcus aureus (Sa). Bactericidal effect was revealed, which varied depending on period of impact, distance, and exposure time. It is found that Sa bacteria were less resistant to plasma and UV treatments than Ec bacteria.
