Abstract
This paper presents the modelling and control of an isolated high-frequency Full-Bridge Phase-Shift with Voltage Doubler Converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode designed to drive a microwave magnetron used for heating applications. The phase-shift modulation of this converter allows the voltage balance in both output capacitors and minimal dc level in primary of the transformer. Average state-space modelling approach has been applied to obtain the small-signal dynamic model of the output current of the converter. Simulation results are presented for validation of the proposed model and controller design.
