  • Abstract
Due to advancement in the area of networking, Networked Control systems (NCS) differ from classical control systems in that their control loops are closed around communication networks. Therefore the need for stability and performance guarantees arises. The purpose of this research is to shed light on the advancements and inherent problems in NCS. In order to characterize the performance of NCS under severe communication limitations an NCS model is derived in the presence of constant as well as variable time delays and stability of the developed method is proved by applying the Jurry Test Method using input feedback concept. At the end, two numerical examples in the presence of network delays are considered in order to give more insight into the theoretical results and to provide the justification of the developed NCS model and stability analysis.
