Abstract
As part of the project "Uni-TV" university classes are produced for television over high-bandwidth data networks and are made available on the Internet. Contrary to other teleprojects at universities the application "Uni-TV" makes it possible to produce bandwidth-intensive material for television with online editing on location, without the need for a mobile camera team or a broadcasting van. The resulting online edition of the video material is immediately transferred back to the universities, where it is streamed live into the Internet and broadcast live via the Mbone technology. After recording of the class the material is then made available as near video-on-demand via Mbone and through individual downloads from an Internet platform that offers additional information along with the finished video product and allows user customization
